The choice of a therapist is one of the most important steps you'll make on your road to recovery.  As a Columbia University trained psychotherapist with decades of experience, I believe that psychotherapy forms an emotional foundation that leads to a more satisfying and connected life.  Psychotherapy works because of the special relationship that develops between the therapist and the individual or couple that promotes healing, enhanced realization of self and other, and the facilitation of a more genuine and rewarding life.  Although psychotherapy can be difficult and painful at times, it can change your life to open up a whole new world.  

I believe strongly in what I do and in the process of therapy, so much so that I left a full-time career as an attorney to enter into this profession. My years of experience in law have also made me particularly well-suited to the professional and I have worked with many individuals in the medical, legal, financial, and business arenas addressing and successfully resolving relationship issues, depression, anxiety, addiction and workplace conflicts.  

People in individual therapy often tell me that we have accomplished more together in a few hours than they have in years of prior therapy. Couples and families are also able to reconnect in ways that they never thought possible and to maintain meaningful change in a relatively short period of time.
